CHAPTER PURPOSE:
To recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The Helena High School Chapter strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

INDUCTEE REQUIREMENTS
- Current GPA is at least 3.75 in all art classes and a 3.0 overall.
- Previously or currently enrolled in at least two visual arts courses.
- Present the committee with two quality pieces of artwork that you feel are your strongest in the form of a digital portfolio. Submit digital photographs of your work via Google Drive to [email protected].
- Include teacher recommendations from at least one art teacher and at least one academic teacher.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Retain a 3.75 GPA in all art classes and a 3.0 overall.
- Earn a minimum of two credits from visual arts courses.
- Attend all meetings and Helena High School’s Fine Art Night annually.
- Attend at least 3 N.A.H.S. projects, activities, and/or fundraisers annually.
- Submit at least 1 piece of original artwork to a contest, publication, or scholarship.
- Submit at least 1 piece of original artwork to the HHS literary magazine.
- Annual membership dues of $20 must be paid in full.
OFFICER DUTIES:

- Presides at all chapter meetings
- Plans and executes meeting agendas, activities, projects, and fundraisers.
- Assumes duties of President in his/her absence.
- Assist President in planning and executing meeting agendas, activities, projects, and fundraisers.
- Invitations/Programs
- Keeps a record of all meetings in detail, including start/stop time.
- Keeps record of member attendance at chapter meetings, activities, projects, and fundraisers.
- Create and send press releases
- Write thank you notes to faculty and/or community assistance in chapter projects. (Guest speakers, artist/demonstrators, parents, businesses)
- Keeps and maintains accurate records of income and expenditures.
- Receives funds and deposits in chapter account.
- Prepares financial reports and reports to the group quarterly.
- Seeks the assistance of the school bookkeeper in establishing and maintaining an in-school account.
- Follows school procedure in making deposits, writing vouchers for payments, and so forth. – When activities or meetings involve the purchase of supplies and/or food, the treasurer will be responsible for completing and/or delegating this task. –
- Coordinates all fundraising activities.
- Creates and maintains record of chapter’s activities (Photographs, Newspaper clippings, and samples of programs/invitations.
- Social media
- Coordinate art shows, awards nights, ceremonies, and receptions.
- Assist in the coordination of all art exhibits held at HHS.
